Practical Details

Location:

I practice in the newly refurbished Dialogue Centre near Seven Dials. Brighton Station is 15 minute walk and bus numbers 7, 56, 81A, 81B and 81C all stop nearby. Pay and Display parking is available outside of the Centre. Cheaper Pay and Display parking is available in Nizells Avenue (see map).

Please let me know, if you have any special requirements for access, as some of the therapy rooms are only accessible via steps.

I have regular appointments available on Wednesdays and Thursdays between 9am - 8pm and Saturdays between 3pm - 6pm. Please check for current availability when arranging an initial session.

Sessions last 50 minutes and we would meet typically once a week at the same time and place. If you arrive late for a session, it will still finish at the usual time.

Fees:

I offer a low cost initial appointment for £10 to decide whether counselling with me is the right thing for you. If we agree to continue with our sessions, I charge £30-£40 per session, depending on your ability to pay. I can offer some concessions to students and people on very low income ( daytime appointments only - subject to availability).

Before our first session on the phone, I will send you by e-mail or post a questionnaire and my usual terms of agreement, for you to fill out and read. If we agree to work together after our first assessment session, I will ask you to return the Counselling Contract signed and payment via bank transfer for your next session.

I charge £30-£40 for a 50 minute session to call you on a UK landline and £35-£45/session to call you on a UK mobile phone. I would call you typically once a week at the same time and on the same phone number.
